Selection of raw materials
Raw materials for the production of organic charcoal include wood and plant residues such as plant stems, fruit skins and agricultural waste. It is important that these materials are free of chemicals and toxin
drying
Raw materials should be dried well to reduce their moisture content. This is usually done by placing them in a dry environment
Cooking (carbonization)
This stage is the most important part of organic charcoal production. Dried materials are cooked in low oxygen conditions and high temperature. This process causes the organic compounds in the wood to decompose and pure carbon remains.
cooling
After cooking, the charcoal should be cooled slowly to prevent fire and damage to the charcoal. This is usually done by covering the coal with insulating material or using special containers.
Packaging
Organic charcoal is packed after cooling. The packaging should protect against moisture and contamination.
